2007 Colorado Law Enforcement Officers TOP Gun competition

The 2007 Top Gun Police Motorcycle challenge was held over a two day period at Invesco Field this past weekend. Motorcycle cops from the Denver Metro area, State Patrol and others from Nebraska and connecting states competed in a rider’s skill course out on the black top.

Some of the photos show the course, with only an inch or two to clear the roll bars of the Harley Davidson’s. The course cones would be brought in tighter for the Kawasaki and BMW’s.

The crowd was very supportive when an officer would scrap floor boards, some down to the rubber, or when the RPM were not high enough when the course required for a diminishing circle.

To witness these masters on two wheels, really gives one an appreciation for finesse and control that is needed to ride well.
